Eeeek! I’m so super excited about today you guys! It’s such a special day and I can’t wait to share it with you! Today I get to share with you something I’ve been working on like crazy for several weeks now…my home management binder!
You all know I love a good printable! They keep me in check and help me get all of the thoughts swirling around in my head down on paper. They are the order to my chaos and the calm to my overwhelm! So why not create an entirely organized, structured, and beautiful binder out of them?!
Those where my thoughts exactly!
This binder is packed full of organizational goodness with 8 different categories covering all things home management. Here is small overview of what you can find:
I decided to call this printable pack Simply Organized because that’s exactly what I was striving for. I wanted to create an orderly binder for moms who are overwhelmed by all of the things they need to do each day. But it had to be simple enough that the everyday mom could put it together in a really short amount of time and find exactly what they needed in a matter of seconds!
If it’s not simple, then I’m probably not going to follow through with it! Can you relate?!
So simplicity was key. I didn’t want you to feel overwhelmed by the amount of printables, but yet have everything you needed to really get your home and life organized. So this system is created for you. You can take what works for you and leave the rest! That’s the beauty of this home management system!
Creating an Organized Home Management Binder
The binder is separated into 8 categories:
Time Management
I always like to put this section first because it’s a category I use daily. It’s a place where I set goals, plan out my days, weeks, and months, and keep my priorities in check. In this section you will find:
- Goal Setting Printables
- Daily To-Do Lists
- Monthly Calendars
- Weekly Planners

Family Information
In the second section you will find the Family Information category. This category is dedicated to all things related to family. I like to put this category near the front because it can hold a lot of important and personal information that we may need to access quickly. In this section you will find:
- Family Information
- School Information
- Pet & Vet Records
- Chore Charts for Kids
- Clothing Sizes
- Babysitter Notes
I like the make sure this category is fully filled out just in case of emergencies. It’s one of those categories you hope you never have to use, but are thankful that it’s there just in case. Plus, it’s nice to be able to access these pages on the fly!
Cleaning & Organizing
The third section is dedicated to cleaning and organizing. My favorite! This section is here to help you keep your house in order without going completely crazy! 🙂 There are plenty of schedules, routines, and checklists to fit any personality type. It will also help you stay on top of all of the normal home maintenance as well as planning for future home projects. In this section you will find:
- Weekly Cleaning Schedules
- Daily Routines
- Home Improvement Lists
- House Project Planning Guides

Food & Meal Planning
The fourth section is for keeping order when it comes to meal planning and food preparation. This category is packed full of meal planners, grocery lists, and recipe lists. I also included printables for an entire recipe binder. You can not only get your home management binder organized, but you can also get your recipes organized in a binder as well! In this section you will find:
- Weekly, Bi-Weekly & Monthly Meal Planners
- Grocery Lists
- Food Inventories
- Recipe Lists
- Recipe Binder Dividers
While I’m a weekly meal planner because I shop once a week, I know that’s not for everyone. I tried to create several different styles of meal planners so that you can find the one that will work best for you!

Finances & Budgeting
The fifth section is filled with all things money. My husband likes to use computer programs to keep our budget, but I’m a total paper pencil girl so we often times do both. I not only like to keep track of our monthly budget, but I also like to keep a running total of our savings funds and sinking funds as well as all of those usernames and passwords for online pay bill. Here is what is included in the budgeting section:
- Monthly Budget
- Irregular Income Budget
- Sinking Funds
- Emergency Fund Tracker
- Account Information
- Online Bill Pay Tracker

Gift Giving
The sixth section is for keeping track of gift giving. I hate forgetting birthdays, but they always seem to creep up on me! Does this happen to you?! This section has seriously saved me several times. I’m constantly thinking of good birthday gifts for people at random times, but by the time their birthday actually arrives I have forgot all about my great idea. Now I can go to this section, make a quick note and be prepared! It’s got everything I need to remember birthdays and be prepared when they arrive! In this section, you will find:
- Important Dates
- Gift Giving Guide
- Party Planning Worksheet
Health & Fitness
Over the past few months, I’ve really struggled with being consistent with exercise and healthy eating! (I’m guessing I’m not the only one…holiday cookies are so tempting!) I’m so excited to use my health and fitness section to get me back on track in the new year.
This section includes:
- Medical information
- Vaccination Records
- Health & Fitness Tracker
- Daily Food Log
Lists & Cheatsheets
The eighth and final section of my home management binder is full of all kinds of lists, cheatsheets, and worksheets for you to keep track of day to day tasks. This is one of my favorite sections because it’s where I can go when I have random thoughts or ideas that I need to get out of my head. I decided to print a handful of each so that I’m ready for any spur of the moment idea! This section includes:
- To-Do Lists
- Checklists
- General Lists
- Password Cheat Sheet
- Vehicle Maintenance Log
- Brainstorming Worksheet
- Contact Information
That’s it! That’s everything included in my 2017 home management binder. I’m so happy I have it set up and ready to use for the new year. It has found a permanent place on my desk and has already come in handy more times than I can count!

Hi Kaitlyn! I was wondering the same thing! I just printed out the binder (in black and white 😩) but would love to tweak it! I can’t wait to start using it, and hope it will change my life!!
Also, do you keep actual records in the binder or is this for tracking purposes? Cuz i have a folder with pockets for different things like insurance information and bills, bank statements, medical records, family documents like ssn cards and birth certificates etc. (that’s the only organized thing I have lol!)
Hope to hear from you soon,
Love 💜💜💜💜
Leah

Hi Leah! I use the binder for tracking purposes. Important papers like bank statements, medical records, insurance information and family documents all get put in long-term storage in my filing cabinet. I did an entire post explaining the 4 different systems I use to keep my papers organized. You can read it here: /control-paper-clutter/ Hope that helps!
