The Ultimate Gift Guide for Dads

I don’t know about you, but I’ve got my Christmas lists made out for my kids, my niece, my parents, my in-laws, my son’s teacher, and our neighbors. Do you know who I often struggle with? My husband! Guys are just so hard to buy for! If you searching for ideas for a dad in your life, this gift guide for dads will give you some great ideas!

Are you looking for gift ideas for the dads in your life? Use this gift guide for dads to find a gift idea for any dad on your list!

Alright. Let’s get real. I’m a girl! I have no idea what guys like or would want for Christmas! So I enlisted the main man in my life to help me out! My better half, Tom! 🙂 We decided to split it up into 5 different types of dads, although I think Tom fits into most of these and would probably be thrilled with any of these gifts for Christmas! We chose to split the personality types into:

  • The DIYer
  • The Techie
  • The Manly Man
  • The Sports Fan
  • The Exercise Enthusiast

We also worked hard to find gift ideas in multiple price ranges. You will find all ranges in each personality. My goal was to give ideas for every dad in each of the personality types and in any budget category.

I hope you are able to find a gift idea for the dads in your life!

The Ultimate Gift Guide for Dads

The DIYer

1. Tool Cuff Wrist Band

Whenever we are working on a project, Tom is always losing his drill bits and screws. This little magnetic wrist band would totally fix that problem!

2. Circular Saw

If your man loves DIY projects but doesn’t have any type of saw, this is definitely the one to start out with. It’s affordable and can be used for a ton of different projects. It’s very versatile as opposed to some of the other types of saws. Tom loves the DeWalt brand of tools because they are built to last.

3. Tool Bag

Every DIYer needs a tool bag! This one is great because there are SO MANY POCKETS! Okay, so the organizer in many got a little excited just looking at it. But your man will love it too because he can carry everything around to all of those projects you are going to have him do for you! 😉

4. Kreg Jig

I even love this tool! Once you start to do a lot of DIY projects, you absolutely must invest in a Kreg Jig. This little tool makes putting together furniture a breeze. Forget the days of biscuit joints! This amazing little invention has saved Tom hours!

5.Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

If your man doesn’t have a drill, it’s a must! But getting a drill and impact driver combo kit will take the gift the extra mile! This set from DeWalt is great quality, but also budget friendly as far as these products go! Drills have so many uses, but impact drivers will really help when you get into those bigger, tougher projects!

The Techie

1. Bluetooth Speaker

This affordable little gadget can connect to any device and really bring any type of audio to life! It’s small so you can take it on the go. Plus, it’s waterproof!

2. Amazon Echo Dot

This new little device is very similar to Siri on our smartphones, just more advanced! She can connect you to anything online, plus you can connect it different systems in your home so she can control fans, lights, thermostats, garage doors, sprinkles, and more! This could also be used with the bluetooth speaker above through Bluetooth!

3. Amazon Prime Yearly Membership

Prime has so many benefits and any dad would love to receive it as a gift that will keep on giving all year long. You can read my review of Amazon Prime here.

4. Apple Watch

This little watch is basically like a small computer on your wrist. You can receive an make phone calls, dictate text messages, browse through apps, and track your fitness activities. And bonus, it also serves as a functioning watch! 😉

5. Apple iPad Air 2

The new iPad Air 2 is new and improved. It’s still incredibly lightweight and the photo and video is much improved. This is on my husband’s wish list for sure!

The Manly Man

1. Harry’s Razors

If you have a guy in your life who enjoys shaving or nice smelling shaving gel or after shave, I highly recommend checking out Harry’s. Tom has been using these razors, shaving gel, and after shave for over a year now and is completely hooked! Not only do the razors work better than their competition, but the products smell amazing! You can grab a free trial here if you aren’t sure it’s for you! It would make a great gift or stocking stuffer!

2. Deluxe Grilling Tools Set

If the guy in your life enjoys grilling, this set has everything he will need! These grilling tools are high quality, beautifully made, and come in a convenient carrying case so they don’t get lost! (Because that never happens here!)

3. Jason Bourne on Bluray

Every man loves Jason Bourne. So why not grab the new Jason Bourne movie for him as a great gift or even stocking stuffer?!

4. Wooden Watch

I purchased this watch for Tom as a Father’s Day gift this year and it was a huge hit. It’s great for guys who don’t want something shiny on their wrist. This watch is made of ebony and has a stainless steel clasp. You can also have your watch engraved for a small additional fee. If you use this link, you can grab $15 off your watch!

5. Fishing Pole Rod & Reel

A fishing pole is on Tom’s wish list this year for Christmas and I’m pretty sure every man who loves the outdoors would love a nice fishing pole!

The Sports Fan

1. Baseball Hat

Do you have a sports fan in your life? This is my dad for me and he has always said you can’t have too many baseball hats! A new baseball hat of your dad’s favorite team would be an instant hit!

2. Sports Sign

Etsy has tons of cool signs, both simple and customizable for just about every sport you can imagine! I’ve purchased my dad several sports signs over the years and he has loved every single one of them.

3. Sports Tickets

If you have a sports fan in your life, you can’t go wrong with tickets to see his favorite team in action. My place of choice to purchase sporting event tickets is StubHub.

4. Golf Bag

If your guy loves golf like so many guys do, a nice new golf bag might be a great fit this Christmas! This Callaway bag is both masculine and lightweight!

5. Baseball Glove

Every dad needs a baseball glove so he can play catch in the backyard with his kids. If you guy doesn’t have one yet, grab him one and enjoy watching hours of fun while they play!

The Exercise Enthusiast

1. Large Water Bottle

Go big or go home! This water bottle is seriously HUGE at 48 ounces! But if you have a fitness fanatic in your life, then he will be drinking water constantly throughout the day. This is a great bottle to take on the go to ensure that you can constantly have water at all times.

2. Under Armour Workout Clothes

Exercise Enthusiasts love their workout gear. (I know because my husband is one!) Under armour products are his workout clothing brand of choice.

3. Protein Powder

This is the protein powder that we literally keep in stock at all times around our house. If the dad in your life is trying to build muscle, this product is a great place to start!

4. Treadmill

Are you looking to really impress the guy in your life this year? If he loves to exercise, a Nordic Track treadmill will be just the thing!

5. FitBit

A FitBit would be a great gift for the exercise enthusiast in your life. It tracks all things fitness including steps, distance, calories burned, and active minutes. Plus it can track your sleep and set a silent alarm so that you will wake better and get your best rest! This little gadget does it all!

I hope you were able to find a gift or two for the dad’s in your life from this list! Guys can sometimes be so hard to buy for, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to find them the perfect gift!

What are you getting the guys in your life this year?
