5 Things Brilliant Moms Do to Get More Done

Ever wonder how some moms are able to get so much done each day? Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret. They have a few tricks up their sleeve that help them to accomplish more in less time!

Let’s face it. Time management can be a struggle for us all at times. And once kids come along, it seems like there are some days that we work all day but nothing really gets accomplished.

Have you ever had one of those days?

Me too. Those days when you head hits the pillow and all you can think about is the super long list of things you meant to do that day, but just never got to. It’s frustrating and exhausting.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You can be a mom and be productive at the same time. You can be a brilliant mom who rocks at time management too!

So what are those little secrets to getting more done each day? I thought you’d never ask!

5 Productivity Tips for Brilliant Moms

1. Brilliant moms use a calendar, planner or to-do list to organize their day.

Some moms use all three! Brilliant moms are known for taking control of their days by setting goals and creating lists to accomplish those goals.

2. Brilliant moms learn their most productive time of day and take advantage of it.

Maybe your a morning person. Maybe your a night person. Maybe you work best while your kids are in school. It doesn’t matter when you work, just that you know when you work best. Once you have discover that, you can get more accomplished in less time!

{If you are struggling with figuring out your best time to be productive, Crystal Paine’s courses Make Over Your Mornings and Make Over Your Evenings are awesome resources that might benefit you. Plus, you can your first day for each course FREE!}

3. Brilliant moms keep their homes clutter-free.

Brilliant moms know the distractions that clutter can cause and know how to keep it to a minimum in their homes. Do they have some clutter? Sure! But they are intentional about getting rid of things when they aren’t used or loved anymore. Now that’s brilliant!

4. Brilliant moms have routines and stick to them.

Brilliant moms run their days with simple routines that set them up for success. They aren’t rigid with their time schedules, but rather have a flow for the day. They know what they need to get done each morning, afternoon, and evening to stay on track towards their goals.

5. Brilliant moms ask for help when they need it.

Brilliant moms know the power of a second (and third and forth!) set of hands. They delegate when necessary and ask for help if needed. They make use of this opportunity to not only ask for help, but also teach their children about the work-money relationship as well!

That’s it! These ideas aren’t brilliant because they are super original or mind-blowing. No, they are brilliant because they have been implemented by moms into their lives and homes consistently over several weeks, months, or years.

Consistency is the key to success my friends. If you keep trying to change things up because you just can’t stick to a system, then you will inevitably fail. Trust me. I know this from experience. However, if you can be consistent with your efforts towards being a better manager of your time, then you will be on your way to a successful and productive day!
